Alimentaria & Hostelco has once again established itself as the essential global event for the food, beverage and hospitality industry. From April 4th to 7th, more than 3,000 exhibiting companies, close to 100,000 visitors, gathered on Fira Barcelona's Gran Vía, and more than 200 activities were organized, reflecting the great strength of this edition.

Meat, dairy, food service products, snacks and sweets, gathered in Alimentaria; meanwhile equipment, machinery, accessories for the hotel, pastry, bakery, tableware and interior design items, in Hostelco; with the aim of further intensifying the internationalization of Spanish companies and opening up new business opportunities abroad.

Of all the 3,000 exhibiting firms, 400 have been international, coming from 52 countries. Brazil, Slovakia, Australia, Canada, United Arab Emirates and Puerto Rico have participated for the first time at the congress. 

The program of activities of both halls was carried out by innovation, gastronomy, management linked to sustainability, healthy products, the rise of vegetable protein, as well as the latest trends in the hotel industry. Also, it was used to present more than 300 innovations and 30 chefs of reference participated, gathering 36 Michelin stars.

“The intense dynamics experienced during this edition reinforce the character of the event as a strategic partner of the sector in its unstoppable internationalization process. The quality of the buyers who have visited us stands out, which will contribute to boosting sales of the food industry abroad”, highlighted J. Antonio Valls, the director of Alimentaria.

Likewise, the president of Hostelco and Felac, Rafael Olmos, remarked "we are very satisfied with the results of this edition, which has meant a long-awaited reunion for the sector, fulfilling expectations that we hope will culminate soon with the complete recovery of the market".

PORDAMSA was also present at this edition of the international fair. From our stand, we had the opportunity to meet again, talk and establish ties with many visitors and professionals from the sector, as well as show the new trends in tableware and our most recent collections.
